feet on the ground
head in the clouds
soul underwater
waves washing away
the foundation of
this life left unlived
this heart left unloved
indefinitely, forevermore

twisted tides
caress the mind
and fall under the weight
of this prevailing wind
the crashing surf
undermines all peace
as the undertow lulls
to an unknown beat
eroding the earth
beneath the subconscious
propelling this great berth
in the bay
to fall underway
and all the ships sink
into oblivion
